Hohenzollern Castle was our second castle of the weekend. It is located near Tubingen, which is about 45 minutes from Stuttgart. This is the 3rd Hohenzollern castle and was built on the same location as the others the 1860s. The first castle was built around 1000 A.D. The land/castle has remained in the same family over the years. The current owner is a prince, who is 32 and single. Any takers? He doesn't live in the castle, in fact no one ever has. He did visit last weekend though. The current castle is more of a memorial to the family heritage.
