Yeah! Our car arrived on Friday. We have wheels again and it is fantastic. No more walking .75 miles with 1.5 weeks of laundry to the laundromat. :) And no more bus rides!! So the Volvo is safe and sound, however the door handle broke the minute that Tyler had finished checking over it for problems and drove it away (he actually drove it to the safety inspection 30 feet away, opened the door and it broke). Nice. Don't ever own a Volvo.(I keep telling our Volvo that it isn't going to see the US again...) We've already scouted a Volvo dealer in a nearby town to get it fixed (they aren't open on weekends). Anyway, we have new Stuttgart license plates on the car. It looks very European. :) The Garmin navigation system and magic insurance card (it lets us drive outside Germany) are both on the way. When they get here we are definitely going on some road trips!
In other news, the bicycle hunt is still on. Tyler is getting a new bike for his birthday, if we can just find one to get him. Apparently it is nearly impossible to have a bike shipped to an APO. So that leaves option A)buying from the exchange, or option B) buying here in Germany. The exchange has some selection, but it is really random. The Germany economy has lots of selection, but with the Euro/Dollar exchange rate you pay nearly double for anything you want to buy here (that makes a big difference with large purchases). We will find a bike for Tyler's birthday... it just might take a while and some creativity.

Hi Guys____
The argyles and the "sleeping slacks" DO NOT MATCH!!!! How can you sleep in such condition??
I hope the Volvo is enjoying being back on the continent. Do you plan to take it to its homeland on a nostalgia tour? ... once you can get in and out of it!
Love,
Dad
