I would be lost without Garmin.

Things are going well for us here. This week we received our new Garmin Nuvi in the mail. I'm a huge fan. Navigating German roads can be tricky! I added on different cars and now instead of the preset blue car, we are navigated by a police car (Tyler's choice). Maybe tomorrow maybe it will be the tank?

The day we got the Garmin we hopped in the car, picked a restaurant from the list on the Nuvi and went. It got us there with no problems. Tyler has commented that he now has "two people" telling him where to go while driving.

The restaurant we went to ended up being pretty interesting. It was a Cafe with huge porches and lots of outdoor seating. It looked like a restaurant that you might find off the highway in the States. So we walk up to the American looking restaurant. We sat down (in Germany you don't wait to be seated) and looked at the menu. The menu was in both German and English and offered lots of American type foods (like chicken nuggets and fries or in German "Chick and Fries"... that reminded me of the "Pig-n-Chick!"). So the waitress came up and said something very quickly in German. I looked at her and asked in German if she spoke English. She made a horrible face threw up her hands and said, "No,no!" She walked away and found another waitress to help us. The food ended up being good and very American like. It was just surreal being in the American like setting with American menus and American food and no one was speaking English.

Because of Tyler's crazy work schedule the weekend starts tonight. Not sure what we are going to do. Hopefully some shopping and exploring! : )
