How long can Kristin and Tyler go without eating at an American restaurant?
3 months apparently.
Tyler and I drove 3 HOURS (because of traffic) to get to K-town (in Germany) where Chili's is located. It is actually on an Air Force base, a BIG Air Force base. The Air Force has it made; two movie theaters, NO SNOW, a giant mall in the works, multiple gas stations, AND CHILI'S.
The funny thing is I can't remember the last time I ate at Chili's. Did I even like Chili's when I lived in the States? I can't remember.
I love it now that it is the only American chain non-fast food restaurant within 5 hours of Stuttgart. It tasted sooo good. We ate buffalo wings, southwestern eggrolls, STEAK,and loaded mashed potatoes. OMG - it was AMAZING. There was a full menu in ENGLISH ONLY. I sat there and pretended that I was in America if only for a moment. Sigh.
Oh Chili's, in the words of the Governator: I'll be back.
As a side note...Tyler and I drove up to K-town for some window antique shopping and dinner. We came home with full stomachs and a receipt for a beautiful new china cabinet that will be delivered this Sunday (free of charge I might add... I worked out a deal!). More details and pictures to come next week!
