While we were in Meersburg, Germany we went on a little adventure. Affenberg Salem is nature preserve for Barbary Macaques, the only primates native to Europe. The goal of this facility is to increase the monkey population and release the monkeys back into the wild.
The cool thing about this monkey refuge is that you can get up close and personal with the monkeys. Once inside the enclosure you can grab a handful of popcorn and feed the monkeys that sit patiently on wooden fences. Can you imagine this being legal in the USA? Ha! Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Tyler was so excited about feeding the monkeys. Look at how polite this guy is. He is carefully picking the popcorn out of Tyler's hand.
Zach also really enjoyed feeding the monkeys.
I'm not sure this monkey was super happy about Tyler sitting on his log. Fortunately, Tyler gave him some popcorn.

Now Tyler feeds the baby monkeys! We had a fantastic time feeding the monkeys. We would highly recommend it to anyone!
