As you may note by Zach's and my face in the picture below, we spent a little bit of time in the pottery shop Kristin wanted to stop in on the way home in Nove, Italy. The picture is posed- we're not really THAT ticked off, but... wasn't exactly the highlight of our trip.
On the way home, Zach and I did a little bargaining with Kristin, and she (very) begrudgingly decided to allow us to detour to Liechtenstein, a small European country. Liechtenstein is a dependency on its next-door neighbor Switzerland, and thus, is not a part of the EU. As such, we had to explain to the border guard that we were going to Liechetenstein just to say that we had. I told him we were going to get ice cream, which only furrowed his brow, so Kristin told him we just wanted to visit and turn around. That seemed okay with him, so he let us go.
