A few words about our friend's hotel in Crete, Greece:
It's got a pool. While we definitely enjoyed going for swims at the beach, it was great to just take a break from the heat right there at our home away from home, and not have to worry about getting the salt out of our swim suits. Our room was on the third floor and we had access to the balcony. The views overlooking Chania harbor were splendid! We caught the sunset view every night- loved seeing the twinkle of the town's lights and trying to spot the harbor light.
Lounge chairs galore. The pool's nice and quiet to hang around at; a little oasis from the traffic zooming past just beyond and below the trees you see here.
This is me in "relax mode" by the pool. I don't really get this relaxed very often. Ahhhh. I could go back right now.
We really enjoyed the hospitality shown us by our dear friends at the Monte Vardia, and were once again treated like part of the family while we stayed there. Many thanks!
