Ick! Ack! Yuck!

So I(Kristin) woke up this morning to the lovely sound of my dog getting sick on the end of my bed. Tyler was at work, so he missed this adventure. So not only was Lucy sick, but she was sick on my wedding quilt. On my beautiful, custom, hand-made, super sentimental, WHITE, never been washed before wedding quilt. I immediately cleaned the quilt, crossed my fingers and dropped it in the wash (I've been afraid to wash it because I didn't want to mess it up somehow). After that I put Lucy in her kennel. When the quilt was finished in the wash, I envisioned it hanging on a chord fastened to two beautiful trees so it could dry in the sunshine - isn't that how quilts should be dried? Unfortunately, it's cold and snowy here - plus there are no outdoor drying racks of any sort. So I found some things in the laundry room to dry it on.
What I didn't realize was how much it would drip. It dripped a lot. A whole lot.

So much that the oriental carpet in the laundry room is now permanently ruined.

And to make matters worse. Lucy was sick in her kennel. Four times. So I moved her to the bathroom so I could clean the kennel (for the fourth time).
And she got sick there too - after I had bagged up all the trash to take out. Growl. She's still exiled to the bathroom (because she's previously been sick on my couch and I'm just not will to take that chance today). Poor Baby. I think she's feeling better though. Tyler has missed all of this, but I have updated him via email. He thinks it's funny. I think he owes me.
