Sunday afternoon walk: Rubble Hill

On Sunday afternoon, Tyler, Lucy and I decided to get some fresh air at Rubble Hill. This is a favorite local spot for Sunday walks and great views of the city of Stuttgart. The hill was created from the ruins of buildings that were destroyed from bombs dropped on Stuttgart in WWII. Most of the rubble is now covered by dirt and has grass growing over it. The best part about the walk to the top of rubble hill is the beautiful views of the city. On a clear day, you are able to see for miles. Tyler and I had fun trying to identify different buildings that are downtown.

At the top of the hill the rubble is exposed, instead of being covered by dirt. If you look closely you can see decorative columns and other familiar parts of buildings.

Tyler and Lu couldn't climb to high because it was too slippery.

I didn't listen when Tyler told me the rubble was slippery and ended up with a big bruise on my leg!
