On Thursday, Tyler and I took a trip to Ulm, Germany home of the highest cathedral spire in all of Europe. The climb to the top consists of 700 something stairs! Unfortunately we could only climb halfway up; the top was closed due to ice. I ended up being really okay with that. I forgot how much walking up or down spiral steps makes me dizzy/freaks me out. In one of the pictures below I'm acutally sitting on the steps trying to stop freaking out. I'm not afraid of heights. I just felt like I was going to fall down the stairs the entire time. Not Good. On the way down, things got interesting when Tyler and I encountered a pigeon that was trapped in the tower. If we tried to walk down the pigeon would flutter and flap in our faces (well mostly Tyler's... I was too busy backing up and screaming "Don't kill it!" as Tyler swatted at it). Finally, Tyler some how got the thing to hop down with us one step at a time, until we reached a landing where it could fly away. This was an interesting adventure. Anyway, as you can see the cathedral was an amazingly beautiful gothic lady.

This is me sitting down. Notice how spirally the stairs are! No wonder I was dizzy!
