Lucy was feeling well again after her stomach virus, however this week she probably got another blatter infection. (She had one this fall) I say "probably" because we took her to the vet and due to lack of a you-know-what sample, they couldn't be sure what kind of problem it is. Oh, believe me we tried to get a sample. Tyler and I took one in that was rejected due to too much snow. Then we tried three times to get another out in the cold, dark snowy field in front to the vet. Imagine Tyler and (mostly) me chassing after the dog with a metal pan in the snow. After forty-five minutes the vet assistant came at got us. I was pretty frustrated - maybe someday I'll think it was funny. Anyway, the doctor prescribed some meds for Lucy (based on our and her observations). If she gets another infection, she will have to have an ultrasound to check for blatter stones. Poor Lu! Now that she is on the meds she is feeling much better (although sleepy).
Tyler also went to the doctor this week. No worries - he wasn't/isn't sick. He has an iron immune system. He found out that his low sodium + exercise routine is probably working to lower his blood pressure! We are both super happy about this.
I finally went to the Bible study class (PWOC) that I've meaning to go to for months. I'm so glad that I did. I'm instantly plugged into a group of really great women. I actually have events written down on my calendar! Yeah. Oh and get this. I actually met someone who is my age and doesn't have kids! (She is the first that I've met in 7months -everyone I've met here is older and/or has kids, which I'm not complaining about - it's just soooo nice to meet someone in a similar place in life) It is super great to be in Christian fellowship with a great bunch of women.
I've also been busy playing with my new ice cream maker! It is fantastic. I've made vanila, strawberry, and cookies and creme. Yum, yum, yum! Tyler is especially fond of this new present.
